It's speech time again! Students began brainstorming ideas for speech topics today. Students are reminded that speech topics should not read like a report but should be interesting to the audience. Please review the note that was sent home today that explains the important dates and process as well as the attached rubric that will be used to mark their speeches. Students will present their speeches to our Grade 4 class and one student will be chosen to represent Grade 4 in the speech contest at the Royal Canadian Legion on March 2 if he/she chooses. I have included links to the note and rubric below. Also, I have included a link to, and have sent home, an outline to assist students in planning their speech. They may or may not use this outline.
